The community will find budget-friendly deals on children’s and maternity items at the Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon’s annual Kidmania community garage sale event on Saturday, March 6, 2010. The event will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. – Noon and will be held at the Edwardsville High School located in Edwardsville, Illinois. Admission is $3.00 per person and children six and under are free. VIP tickets will be available for early shopping before the general public. Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance or $15 at the door to the first 75 people. You can get more information or purchase the VIP tickets by emailing juniorserviceclub@gmail.com
“Attendees will be excited to find a variety of children’s clothing, books, toys and furniture. There are also plenty of items for expectant mothers,” states Shannon McMillian, event co-chair. “This is a great opportunity to purchase gently used items at affordable prices and is the ideal all-in-one garage sale event for those on a budget.” The Club is currently accepting applications for vendors, which may be found online at www.edwardsvilleonline.com/jsc. Vendor space is limited and available on a first-come, first served basis. Those expecting a prime spot should return their application as soon as possible. Vendor space is $40.00 and includes two six-foot tables and two chairs. Vendor set-up begins at 5:30 a.m. on the morning of March 6th. All sellers must vacate their space, including all remaining items by 1:00 p.m. and keep 100% of the profit made at the event. The Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon is a non-profit women’s service organization striving to contribute to the betterment of those in need in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area. Partners 4 Pets Animal Rescue is hosting a St Patty’s themed Trivia Night fundraiser!!!
The Event takes place Saturday, March 6th from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
at the Fairmount Park Banquet Hall: 301 Collinsville Road, Collinsville, IL 62234
Teams are 10 people. Tickets are $25 per person which includes a full buffet dinner: Your choice of a variety of meat dishes, a variety of veggie dishes, rolls, salad, dessert, soda, tea and coffee. The buffet will be open until 8 p.m.
Trivia will begin at 7 p.m. Awesome prizes for winning Trivia Team and for the Team with the best table theme!

"Best of Maryville" Art Contst & Show

“BEST OF MARYVILLE” ART CONTEST & SHOW
Maryville will host its 7th “Best of Maryville“ Art Contest and Show on March 14, from 1:00-3:00 at the Senior Center. Artists and photographers can enter in 5 different age divisions: K-3rd Grade, 4-8th Grade, High School, Amateur and Open.
Grade School students can enter art work on any subject they choose, but all others must submit their artwork on something in or around Maryville, thus the name “Best of Maryville”. Topics include landscapes, close-ups, and people/animals. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best in Show in each category as well as 1st Place in each topic.

The City of Edwardsville Parks & Recreation Department would like to invite the community to enjoy the blues/jazz style of Kim Massie & The Solid Senders as the fifth performance of the 2009-2010 Winter Concert Series. Performance takes place in the Leclaire Room of the Lewis & Clark College N.O. Nelson Complex located at 600 Troy Road. Tickets are available at the Edwardsville City Hall and the Edwardsville Public Library during regular business hours for a $7 suggested donation.
