10/1  McGivney Fall Golf Classic   (Sunday:  7:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 1st at 7 AM for our 3rd Annual McGivney Fall Golf Classic Fundraiser! Join us for a memorable morning outdoor Mass on the Green, followed by golf and fun. A luncheon and raffle auction will follow to benefit the athletic department at Father McGivney Catholic High School. Golf will be a shot-gun start at 8:30 AM with teams of 4 golfers. $100/golfer and includes greens fees, cart, breakfast, drinks, lunch, silent auction and prizes.

Not a golfer? Consider attending the just the luncheon and silent auction beginning at 1:30 PM! A luncheon/auction-only ticket may be purchased for $20/person.

10/1  2017 St. Louis Regional Airport Wings and Wheels    (Sunday:  9:00 am - 2:00 pm)
Wings and Wheels is the 23rd Annual St. Louis Regional Airport open house sponsored by the EAA Chapter 864. Come join us for the Fly In, where a variety of airplanes will be on display. There will also be a radio controlled aircraft demo, and a huge car show. Meet Monster Truck Hall of Famer Jim Kramer with his Bigfoot 8, and concessions! Plus, FREE Young Eagle flights for kids ages 8-17 (parent or guardian must be present at registration).
10/21  Project Restore Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Parade   (Saturday:  10:30 am - 12:00 pm)
On Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, dogs from throughout the region will don their best Halloween duds to support their human friends a world away. The 3rd Annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Parade will offer a morning of fun for families and pets while benefiting Project Restore, an Edwardsville charity dedicated to addressing education, clean water and medical care issues in developing countries.

The Parade will be held at Joe Glik Park, 710 E. Lake in Edwardsville. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best pooch costume based on originality, creativity, behavior, and theme with owners. Its free to watch the parade, but anyone participating in the costume contest is asked to donate $20 per dog to Project Restore. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with the parade starting at 11 a.m.

Dogs must remain leashed, have current rabies and vaccination tags, and wear I.D. tags at all times. No puppies under four months old are allowed.

Proceeds from Howl-O-Ween will help Project Restore continue to sponsor the education of children orphaned by the Sudanese Civil War and improve the conditions of their school, the Nabitalo Secondary School in Uganda, Africa.

10/28  McGivney Halloween 5K Run/Walk & Kids' Party   (Saturday:  8:00 am - 12:00 pm)
It’s that time of the year again – time to get off the couch and start hitting the pavement! The 8th Annual Father McGivney Halloween 5K Run/Walk is right around the corner. There will be a FREE Kid’s Halloween Party in the gymnasium – crafts, games, treats, face painting, and fun. Costumes are encouraged! Come out and have fun while supporting our school. Advanced registration for both events (run/walk and kid’s party) is strongly encouraged. The deadline to be guaranteed a shirt in your size is Friday, October 7th.

Important Information
Packet Pickup – Friday, October 27th from 5:30-7 p.m. and Saturday, October 28th from 6:45-7:45 a.m.
Course – Timed 5k run and walk beginning and ending at Father McGivney Catholic High School, 7190 Bouse Road, Glen Carbon, IL 62034
Awards – Top 3 overall male and female finishers; top 3 finishers in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over
Kid’s Halloween Party – For those that want to run and not worry about the kids, our FREE Halloween Party is for you! Leave your kids in the gym for crafts, games, treats, face painting, and more! Feel free to join us after the race too, if your kids want to participate in the run/walk! Registration is strongly encouraged so we know how many kids to plan for!
T-Shirt Only – If you or your little one wants a shirt, but is not going to run, you may purchase a shirt for $15 through the signup below! Sales end October 7th at midnight!
Online Registration – Online registration is available through 12 p.m. on Friday, October 27th (shirt only registration ends 10/7). Registration will be available at the event, but it is strongly encouraged to do early to save time!

10/31  Halloween Mini Sessions   (Tuesday:  4:00 pm - 7:00 pm)
Join us at the Willow & Moss Photography Studio on Halloween during the parade to have your kiddos photographed in their Halloween Costumes.

First 100 children to be photographed get a free treat!
